It seems the Confederation of African Football (CAF) is not done with Morocco yet. It earlier in the week banned the country from participating in the AFCON 2015 after the country refused to host it citing Ebola fears.

CAF president, Issa Hayatou, on Saturday announced more punishments for the north African country. The first is that the country will be barred from the next two Africa Cup of Nations – 2015 and 2017.

The second punishment is that the country will also pay a fine of N3.4billion ($20million).

Speaking on Saturday, Hayatou, according to France’s L’Equipe sports daily, said: “We are going to stick to the rules, that means elimination from the next two Nations Cups”.

“On top of that there will be the financial and moral damages to calculate.”

Morocco had requested that CAF postponed the January 17 – Febraury 8 tournament by a year for the current Ebola epidemic to cool off but CAF insisted that it must go on as scheduled. Equatorial Guinea was on Friday named the tournament’s new host.
