Thugs on Saturday invaded a Continuous Voters Registration, CVR Centre, at Oke Efon, Abeokuta North Local Government area of Ogun State, injuring 10 people in the process.
According to a Vanguard Newspaper report, an eyewitness said the hoodlums, who were armed with guns and other dangerous weapons, stormed the CVR centre located at the St. Mary African Church Primary School, Oke-Efon, Abeokuta at about 10:00am.
They reportedly attacked residents already on the queue.
It was learnt that during the confusion, the INEC officials and a policewoman attached to the centre took to their heels while the thugs allegedly dispossessed residents caught in the melee of their phones and cash.
