Boko Haram is believed to have launched another attack in Gombe state after gunmen suspected to be members of the sect on Tuesday, attacked the police station in Nafada local government area of the state. 


Reports have it officers on duty were overpowered while some fled, allowing the insurgents to loot arms and ammunitions from the station.


A report by Premium Times quotes police sources as saying that reinforcement had been sent to the town to restore normalcy and retake the station from the insurgents.


Just five days ago, a deadly explosion, believed to have been masterminded by the terrorists, ripped through a Gombe line bus station in the state, killing at least 23 people and injuring many more.
