Mairuwa, was travelling to his home town in Keana local government area of the state in the company of his wife, Salamatu, when he was assassinated close to Tudun Adabu along the Obi-Keana-Awe road around 8.30 a.m. this morning.
Until his death, Mairuwa was in charge of all drivers attached to Government House, Lafia,
It was reported that he was shot twice in the chest at close range in front of his wife, who the killers reportedly told not to panic as they had only come for her husband.
The remains of the late head driver has been moved to Keana his home town as sympathizers from Lafia and within continue to troop to his Lafia residence pay condolence visit.
