Woman shot dead near Arsenal’s Emirate Stadium

A woman was on Saturday shot dead about 400metres from Emirates stadium, Arsenal's football ground in London. Police said the yet to be identified woman, was found with severe injuries in Loraine Road, Holloway, north London on Saturday morning.

She died at the scene despite efforts to save her life. A post-mortem examination proved that she died of gunshot wounds.

Officers recovered a firearm at the scene and a 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder remains.

According to police, it is believed the arrested man and the woman knew each other.
