Arsenal signs Sanchez! Player to earn £130,000-a-week

Alexis Sanchez has put pen to paper for Arsenal on a £130,000-a-week deal. He was in London today for medical at Arsenal. He was pictured in Arsenal's training kit on Thursday evening.

Arsenal has agreed on a fee close to £30million with the players club, Barcelona. The London club is also preparing to confirm a deal for Newcastle full-back Mathieu Debuchy who would cost £11m. He has already undergone medical at the club.

Sanchez becomes the club's second biggest-ever signing behind Mesut Ozil, who cost £42.5m 

Manager, Arsene Wenger who made a move for the Chilean forward while in Brazil, said after the signing: “As many people have seen during the World Cup this summer, Alexis is a fantastic footballer and we are delighted that he is joining us at Arsenal Football Club. Alexis will add power, creativity and much quality to our squad and we are all looking forward to him joining up with us in a few weeks. He has consistently produced top-quality performances at the highest level for a number of seasons now and we are all excited to see him integrate into the Arsenal squad.
