Martins Okey Justice, a.k.a J. Martins, has expressed worry and disapproval over the way and manner artistes run to the public for financial support when critically sick. He said that it was high time the entertainment industry as a whole established a health body of its own.
The artiste spoke at the Nigeria Entertainment Industry Health Convention held recently at Eko Hotel and Suites.
He told Hiptv that a situation where artistes run to the public when in need of finance was wrong.
His words: “There should be a body where artistes can run to in time for help and health care other than crying out to the public, it makes no sense”.
Several Nigerian musicians and actors have had to beg the public for funds in order to treat serious ailments. He urged industry leaders and stakeholders to look in the direction of setting up a health body for artistes
