Carlos Tevez's father kidnapped, released after 8 hours

The father of Juventus striker, Carlos Tevez, Segundo Tevez, was reportedly kidnapped yesterday and released 8 hours later after the Tevez flew to the country. has been kidnapped. He was  abducted from a car in Moron, a suburb of Buenos Aires, the country’s capital, early Tuesday morning.

The kidnappers, reports say, made a ransom demand of £1 million after two phone calls.The first call demanded a lower sum in ransom but the second call came hours later to demand the higher ransom of 1 million. There was confusion because the kidnappers, before the first call, did not realize that they had actually caught a “big fish”, the father of soccer super star, Carlos Tevez!

After Tevez touched down the country, reports emanated that his father was released. Police 
did not immediately provide further information but the Argentinian TV, C5N, said Tevez was set free after the payment of $400,000.

Juventus had said that it gave Tevez permission to travel for “family reasons”.
