Robbers invade hospital, rape patients

Armed robbers last weekend invaded the General Hospital, Agbarho in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, reportedly raping female patients and workers and making away with belongings which included cash, phones and other valuables

Daily Sun reports that the robbers, on arrival were said to have shot in the air and ordered everyone to lie face down before carrying out their heinous act.

According to the report, it was the third time armed robbers would be successfully unleashing terror on the hospital. It had now created unease as most people now avoid patronizing the hospital for fear of being attacked. Relations of patients in the hospital are reportedly withdrawing their people from the hospital

Most of those who spoke with the newspaper “urged the state government to provide security in the hospital to curb the excesses of bandits, who had made life unbearable for patients and workers”.
