Female suicide bomber kills Polytechnic Students in Kano

Another female suicide bomber struck in Kano today targeting Polytechnic students at the institutions administrative block, the spokesperson of the Police in the state, Magaji Majiya, said

Two persons were killed in the incident and at least seven others were injured,

“A female teenager blew herself up at about 2:30 p.m. and she was targeting the students of Kano State Polytechnic,” he said.

Mr. Majiya said the bombers target was a group of prospective Corps members who were at the school's administrative building to check their NYSC postings.

Majiya also said apart from the suicide bomber, two other students  died in the blast while seven others were injured and evacuated to a hospital.

“The area has been cordoned off and investigation has already commenced,” he said.
