Ellen DeGeneres battles to save her marriage amid infidelity rumours

Ellen Lee DeGeneres, American comedienne and host of the popular the Ellen DeGeneres show, is battling to save her troubled marriage. There are reports that she and her husband, Portia de Rossi, had put their divorce plans on hold in order to consider counseling.

Now, dont get it twisted. Portia de Rossi, is a WOMAN, actress and model.

 Okay, a bit of background. The duo started dating in 2004 and tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at their LA home in 2008. You know that kind of marriage, right? Ellen and Portia have shared many sweet outings in their years together, including red-carpet appearances, romantic European vacations, and PDA-filled beach walks.

Now, back to the story.

Reports also have it that the marriage ran into troubled waters in May when Rossi suspected her wife of cheating on him with a mutual friend while he was in rehab.

“Portia thinks that Ellen had an affair with one of their mutual friends, right before Portia’s rehab stint in May,” a source said.


But despite the divorce rumors, the source told In Touch Weekly, that the couple was committed to fixing their marriage. The source said they had been seeing a therapist since Portia left rehab.


“It’s going to take a lot for Portia to trust Ellen again,” the source said. “They kept up with the therapy after Portia got out of rehab, but they still have a long way to go.”



Reports indicated that it was Ellen’s controlling ways and infidelity that pushed Portia de Rossi into drinking, which led to her rehab stint.

It however remains unclear how true the rumours are because the couple had denied having problems with their marriage in the past.

 Ellen once told The Huffington Post: “It’s so ridiculous to me. There’s not one ounce of truth to any of it. I’m very happily married. In fact, the only thing we ever argue about is who loves who more. That is all. It really is true. And we argue if we’d let a kangaroo carry us around in its pouch for a year. I would. She wouldn’t. She’ll change her mind. Who wouldn’t want to be in the pouch of a kangaroo for a year? Hopping around. And she’s like ‘no’ but anyway.”
