Woman drives jeep into swimming pool

A woman recently pulled what looked like a party stunt when she drove a jeep across a parking lot, broke through a fence and crashed straight in to a swimming pool. The incident took place in Lakewood, Ohio, USA.

According to a Newsnet5, local television station which reported the incident, two men were in the pool at the time of the crash. 

One of them, Christopher Sanford, said, he heard the splash immediately he dove into the pool; only to resurface to find a car also swimming with him. 

“I took a dive in the pool and when I hit the water I was like, ‘man what an awesome explosion,’” he said. “I turned around and there is a jeep in the pool.”

He said he was jolted back to reality when people started screaming. He then quickly swam to the jeep to pull the driver out. No serious injuries were sustained although the woman was taken to a hospital.

It has not been established why the woman plunged her car into the pool but Lakewood police have charged her with operating a vehicle impaired and reckless operation.
