Malaga Football Club of Spain has snapped up Guillermo Ochoa whose outstanding performance at the just concluded Brazil 2014World Cup tournament frustrated teams who tried to score against Mexico.

A statement on Malaga's website yesterday, August 1 read: "Malaga Club de Futbol has reached an agreement to sign one of the best goalkeepers of the recent World Cup in Brazil, Francisco Guillermo Ochoa Magaña."

Ochoa was without club during the World Cup tournament after his contract with French Club, AC Ajaccio expired.

The 29 year old shot stopper had spent three seasons with Ajaccio before surprisingly being chosen as Mexico's first-choice goalkeeper at the World Cup.

He helped Miguel Herrera's side reach the last 16 and Brazil would not forget the frustration they felt trying to see the back of his net during one of their group matches. The match ended 0-0.
