Fernando Torres has ended his three-and-a-half years of “nightmare” at Chelsea. He has just signed a two-year loan deal to move to AC Milan.
He replaces Mario Balotelli as Milan's lead striker after the Italian moved to Liverpool for £16million.
Torres, who moved from Liverpool to Chelsea on a £50million deal had been considered a flop following a disappointing run. He had two years left on his £150,000-a-week deal but it is believed that his agents negotiated a significant severance package before the Spaniard agreed to a move.
He scored 45 goals in 172 appearances.
