Russia’s ban on anything “Made in America” is taking a toll on American athletes in Russia, and Nigerian-American WNBA star, Nneka Ogwumike, is not finding it funny. She is considering quitting her Russian club team.
She said that the ban on American products was 100 per cent real and biting hard.
Russia’s President, Vladimir Putin, had in the wake of economic sanctions from US and European Union, over its aggression in Ukraine, retaliated by also banning American products in his country.
Ogwumike told TMZ Sports in Los Angeles: "We're not allowed to have anything that says 'Made In America' over there. It's tough."
“No McDonalds. No Miley Cyrus. No Wonder Woman lunchboxes”.
She is considering taking her trade elsewhere, probably Italy where her sister, Chiney, currently plays.
