Man whose scrotum was cut off by two brothers in Lagos dies, suspects remanded in prison

Olayinka Offahin got his scrotum sliced off with a kitchen knife after an argument ensued between him and his landlady’s step children over forceful eviction and unpaid rents. He has been reported dead owing to injuries sustained from the cruelty.

The culprits, Solomon Olowogbemi, 24, and Damilola Olayeye, 22, who were arrested immediately by the police have now appeared before an Ebute-Metta Chief Magistrates’ Court presided over by Mr  F. J.  Adefioye. They are now facing a three-count charge of conspiracy, armed robbery and murder.

The Magistrate, ordered that the accused persons be remanded in Ikoyi Prison pending an  advice from the Lagos State Director of Public Prosecutions and adjourned the case till September17.

The prosecutor, Corporal Onaiwu Iyobosa, from SCID, Panti, Yaba, told the court that: On that fateful day, the deceased and his family were sleeping when they heard loud bangs on their door from the accused persons who forcefully entered his room, destroyed his electronic gadgets and other property.

“One of the accused held a knife in his hand and took his N8,000. They descended on the deceased, though he also fought back, but the accused cut the deceased’s scrotum with knife which made him shout for help.
