See the proposed new Map of Nigeria

An obvious content of the National Confab report sent to President Goodluck Jonathan is the list of the 18 new proposed states and a picture of how the map would look like.

 On the proposed new map, our dear Naija has 54 states. The worry now is: how viable would these states be after their creation?

This is what it looks like. Below it, you would find the names of the proposed new states and where they were carved out from.





 Apa State from Benue

Edu State from Niger

Kainji State from Kebbi state

Katagum State from Jigawa

Savannah State from Borno

Amana State from Adamawa

Gurara State from Kaduna

Ghari State from Kano

Etiti State from South East

Aba State from Abia

Adada State from Enugu

Njaba State from Anambra

Imo, Oil River State from Rivers state

Anioma State from Delta state

Ogoja State from Cross River State

Ijebu State from Ogun State

Ose State from Edo

New Oyo State from the present Oyo State.

So, I think I should start updating my particulars ahead of the approval, or what do you think? Besides, my kids now have more to cram when it’s time for “States and Capital,… Abia-Umuahia, Adamawa – Yola….”
