Ace Comedian, Julius Agwu has declared his intention to run for the governorship seat in Rivers state. He thus joins the likes of Kate Henshaw and Desmond Elliot who had equally shown interest in political seats in Cross Rivers and Lagos respectively.

The Ikwerre born Agwu declared his interest on twitter and Instgram with the caption:” Our moment of Change! Julius Agwu for Governor- Rivers 2015”.

Backing up his intention with the scriptures, he wrote: "The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong...#Eccl 9: 11. After pressure from my people to lead them come 2015...I have finally decdided to take the #BOLDSTEP.
