The management of the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) has said that rumours making the rounds that Batch C of the service had been scrapped was false, sayin g that the 2014 Batch orientation would commence November 4, 2014.
It also announced that effective from November 2014, call up letters would be printed on line which means prospective corps members would not need to travel to their schools to collect their letters.
A notice on their website reads: "This is to inform all prospective corps members that with effect from the 2014 Batch 'C' orientation, all prospective corps members will register on-line and also print their call-up letters on-line.There will be no need for them to travel to their respective schools to collect call-up letters before reporting at the orientation camp. Operational details of this will be made known soon.
"This is to inform members of the public that the rumour making rounds that there will be no 2014 Batch 'C' is false. For your information, the 2014 Batch 'C' will commence on 4th November, 2014 and end on 25th November, 2014"
Batch B corps members have also been posted to various states across the country and the Orientation course starts August 5 and ends on August, 26, 2014.
Members deployed to Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Jigawa, Osun, Yobe, and Lagos would however commence theirs from September 1 to September 22 (Stream 2). Corp members posed to Borno and Yobe would be camped in Nasarawa and Abuja respectively.
