The general overseer of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Pastor Temitope Joshua said yesterday that the collapse of the guest house being built by his church was due to a terrorist attack on him. It was the first time the Prophet was speaking after the collapse on Friday.
Scores were reported dead at the site while many were injured.
Joshua showed a clip taken from the church CCTV showing events that took place before and after the six-storey collapsed.
The short video clip showed that a jet hovered four times –11:30am, 11:43am, 11:45am and 11:54 am — before the building collapsed at about 12:44am.
Joshua said he was the target of the attack.
His words:“Immediately I left the prayer room (which is a 10-minute drive form the church) for the church, I got a call that a jet was hovering over the prayer room but as I finished bathing and moved to the prayer room, I got another call that the jet has moved to the church and that was it,”
He also said: “In a few weeks, the truth behind the collapsed building will be revealed. The last time the Boko Haram issue occurred, the press were against the church including the police but after some weeks, the truth behind the attack was revealed.”
Explaining why he refused to speak on the matter, Joshua said: “I do not want to put fear in the minds of Nigerians. We are still battling with the Ebola virus disease, and that was why I have decided to delay my comment till now.”
He urged security operatives and journalists to analyse the video and come to their own conclusion as to what might have happened.
He argued that building of such solid foundation would not have collapsed in the manner that the six-storey building came down.
