Veteran Nollywood Actor, Kenneth Okonkwo has joined the growing list of vying for various political offices as the 2015 general elections approaches.


He has declared his intention to vie for a seat in the House of Representatives to represent Nsukka/Igboeze South Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, contesting on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Okonkwo is a graduate of Business Administration from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu State and also Masters degree holder in International Law and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos, Akoka.

The Nollywood star shot to limelight with his lead role as "Andy Okeke" in the 1991 Nollywood pioneer home video,  Living in Bondage.

With his declaration on Wednesday, he joins the likes of  Kate Henshaw, Kenny Saint Best, 9ice,Tony Tetula, Julius Agwu, Bob Manuel and a host of other entertainers who have thrown their hats into the political ring.
