Pregnant Alicia Keys poses nude “to promote peace”

What a way to draw awareness for a course. Heavily pregnant Alicia Keys on Saturday posted a nude photo of her naked and pregnant belly with only her hands covering her breasts…and she said the “stunt” was for a purpose.

Let’s look at it. Painted on her baby bump was a peace sign which represented the #WeAreHere movement, a charitable campaign she recently launched. The aim is to bring people together and help them find ways to make an impact rather than just mull over the atrocities in the world and do nothing about it.

“I want to gather an army,' the star told the Times, adding that the reason for posting the naked baby bump image was to pull eyes to her cause.

The 33-year-old singer who is pregnant of her second child, has an audience of millions across the world and now plans to use them for greater good. Her new song is also titled "We are here".

She hopes to encourage her fans to support 12 charity groups which include:  All Out, CARE, Equal Justice Initiative, the Future Project, Girl Rising, Keep a Child Alive, Moms Rising, Oxfam, the Trevor Project, the Trayvon Martin Foundation, and War Child.

In a chat with New York Times, she said she was donating $1 million of her own money between these organizations to get the efforts started, and that her fans can contribute themselves at the We Are Here Movement website.
