About 50 armed men reportedly invaded Taaba community in Ogoni area of Rivers State, beheading a youth. The attackers also raided the residence of the paramount ruler of the area, Mene-Bua-Ba, Kabari Nu-le destroying properties. Many residents also fled the area.

The Deputy Speaker of the Rivers House of Assembly, Leyii Kwanee, who is a native of the community, confirmed the incident saying the attack occurred on Thursday night.
