Woman bites off landlord’s lip…No, they weren’t kissing!

A 26- year old woman Chinyere Umebionyo, pictured below, bit off the lip of her landlord, Augustine Nkwazema, in Lagos State. The incident happened at Olarenwaju street, Ejigbo, where they both live.

She has been arrested Chinyere was angered to have returned home from work have found that the landlord had removed her door because she was owing rent. While confronting the Nkwazema, she reportedly grabbed him and bit off his lip.

He was taken to a hospital where his lip was stitched.

Chinyere said Nkwazema removed the door to her apartment while she was at work because she could not pay the balance of N2, 400 she owed him as rent. According to her, she said she had previously pleaded with him to give her more time to raise the money.

The assault was reported at the Ejigbo Police Division and Chinyere was arrested and has been arraigned before an Ejigbo Magistrates’ Court where she pleaded not guilty.

The presiding magistrate, Mrs M. B. Folami granted her bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum. The matter was adjourned and she was remanded in prison custody pending when she met the bail conditions.
