The young rapper, Carl Beatson Asiedu, (stage name: Charmz) was killed after being stabbed in the heart during a fight between his friends and another group outside the Vauxhall's Club Night night club in London on August 1, 2009. He had performed at the club the night he died.

His body was found in the booth of his friend's car, who was arrested for jumping a red light whilst rushing the deceased to hospital.

Cops labelled Jeffrey Okafor as the suspect after spotting him on the club's CCTV, but when they visited his home in Southwark, he was gone.

In August 2010 his mother Lynn Kanebi and his brother's girlfriend, Nicola Rushworth were arraigned for helping the suspect leave the county, after it emerged he fled to Nigeria using his brother's name and passport. They were however found innocent of the crime.

Okafor’s arrest follows an August 1 Facebook appeal from Asiedu's family, asking people to come forward with information that would help to track down their son’s killers.

Three men surrounding Asiedu the night he was killed were found guilty of violent disorder in May 2011,
