A 35-year-old man, Mr. Paul Igwe, saw the weekend as a period to let off steam by playing loud music at his house in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, but he ended up being beaten to stupor by his co-tenant who felt disturbed by the high volume of his musical set.
The co-tenents beat him mercilessly, leaving him with deep cuts on the back of his head with blood gushing out from the injuries.
According to a Vanguard report, the victim was attacked after rejecting several appeals to lower the volume of his musical set, which had been constituting a nuisance to the environment.
He was afterwards rushed to the Federal Teaching Hospital Abakaliki, FETHA, by his wife and concerned neighbours when they saw that he might not survive.
The victim, later seen at the hospital with a side of his head plastered, refused to speak on the incident.
