Brown was arrested in October last year for the offence after the victim told police that the singer hit him when he tried to get in a picture Brown was taking with two women.
The Grammy-award winning singer had previously pleaded not guilty in the case. His trial had been set for April, but was delayed till today.
The assault occurred while he was on probation for attacking his then-girlfriend Rihanna, in California hours before the 2009 Grammy Awards ceremony. He spent two days in a District of Columbia jail for the Rihanna case. Because he was still on probation, the outcome of the Washington incident made a Los Angeles judge to sentence him to serve an additional 131 days in jail. He was released in June.
