Canadian pop star, Justin Bieber, was arrested at the weekend in Canada for assault and dangerous driving. The charges stemmed from an alleged fight after his ATV collided with a mini-van on Friday on a road in Perth County, Ontario, where he grew up.

A police spokesman told CNN on Tuesday: “Investigation revealed that after colliding, the driver of the ATV and an occupant of the minivan engaged in a physical altercation”

Bieber has however been released on a promise to appear in a Stratford court on September 29.
The pop star has lately become a notorious offender both in the United States and Canada.

In January he was charged with assault in Toronto in connection with an incident involving a limo driver at the end of last year.

In July, he pleaded no contest to misdemeanour vandalism and had to pay $80,900 in restitution to a neighbour whose house he egged. He was sentenced to two years probation.

Just last month, a case was resolved in Florida, where he had initially been accused of street racing. He pleaded guilty to lesser charges and was required to take an anger management course, make a $50,000 charitable contribution and to pay court fees.

Last month too, the 20 year old was also accused of bribing a border official but investigations are yet to be concluded
