ISIS scouting to recruit young Nigerian job seekers

Young Nigerians, especially job seekers have been warned to be wary of agents of the jihadist Islamic state (ISIS) scouting to recruit from Nigeria.

Issuing the warning in a statement on Tuesday, the Director-General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mike Omeri, said ISIS agents are all over Africa, disguised as international humanitarian organisations seeking volunteers and workers to support refugees and orphans. 
 
According to Omeri, intelligence reports indicated that three South Africans have been recruited as ISIS fighters by such groups 
 
He added:

“Nigerians are known the world over to be selfless, hospitable and humanitarian. We believe in the brotherhood of all mankind and no one should be allowed to take advantage of these virtues or turn them into vices.” </blockquote>
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
“Nigerians are therefore advised to report to security agencies without hesitation, any group or non-governmental agency whose overt or covert activities are suspicious or have tendencies to jeopardize the innocence of our youth and the security of our people wherever they are in the world.”</blockquote>
He stated that the government’s commitment to stamping out terror and ensuring the protection of lives and  property, was still on point. He urged Nigerians to be security conscious and comply with security tips being supplied by Nigeria’s security agencies.

Baby crushed to death by truck after falling off mother’s back

A four month old baby was on Monday, crushed to death by a heavy duty truck at the Okorodafe Roundabout in Ughelli, Delta State. The unfortunate incident happened after the baby fell off the back of her mother who was riding on a commercial motorcycle, popularly called Okada.

Vanguard quotes witnesses as saying that the Okada was in motion while the woman, simply identified as Ese, started to adjust the wrapper with which she strapped the baby to her back. In the process, the baby fell off right in the middle of the road before being crushed by the on-coming truck which was conveying crates of soft drinks. 
 
Officials of Ughelli Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) later arrived the scene to assist in clearing the dead baby’s remains.

Drug offence: Jackie Chan’s son faces up to 3 years in prison

Jackie Chan’s son, Jaycee Chan, was on Monday indicted on drug offences by Chinese prosecutors, and he faces up to three years in jail if convicted. He was first detained in August at his Beijing apartment, alongside Taiwanese movie star, Ko Kai.

Beijing police said the duo tested positive for marijuana and admitted using the drug. 
 
Jaycee’s father, Jackie Chan, who was named an anti-drug ambassador in 2009, has openly apologized over his son’s action, admitting embarrassment by the situation. 
 
He had written in a blogpost back in August:

The little lad in the picture above is pretty but the whole idea of that picture is a disaster, an unfortunate development in the life of a three year old boy. 
 
The last time he set eyes on his mother, Lidia Herrera, was in November 2013. Lidia had left the little boy at home with his father in Belluno, Italy, to go visit relatives in Cuba, where she originally comes from. 
 
MailOnline reports that instead of babysitting the boy, Lidia’s husband, Ismar Mesinovic took him to Syria where he signed up to fight for the Islamic State (ISIS). 
 
One year later, Lidia has seen her son…not physically, but in that unfortunate photo which recently appeared online as part of a propaganda campaign for ISIS. 
 
It is not clear when the picture was taken and the man holding the boy is unlikely to be his father as he was reportedly killed during fighting in September. 
 
Lidia told Italian newspaper, Corriere della Sera:

“That child is Ismail. I pray every day that he will be brought back to me.  </blockquote>

"I hope that he will come back here beside me. I think only of him, only him.' </blockquote>

"I never had the faintest suspicion my husband was a terrorist. When I knew they had left for Syria it was like everything around me fell apart. </blockquote>

  'My little one in Syria...You can only imagine how a mother feels in front of news like that.'</blockquote>
 
As part of investigations into the boy’s disappearance, Italy’s La Repubblica anti-terrorism police and secret service are believed to be probing a group of Islamists who operate in the northern Veneto region of Italy, where Belluno also falls.

The hoodlums, also destroyed some of the church property including chairs, window glasses, electrical appliances and made away with the church offerings. 
 
Vanguard reports that police chased and apprehended the hoodlums but a mob, obviously created by fellow thugs, attacked the policemen and rescued the culprits. A policeman was stabbed in the process. 
 
Although police spokesman, Wole Ogodo, said investigations are still going on, the newspaper gathered that a rival pastor of one of the churches in the area is suspected to be behind the attack.

New video shows Boko Haram slaughtering people inside school dormitory

There is a new video of the Islamic militant sect, Boko Haram showing their members mowing down civilians lying face down in the dormitory of a school. 
 
The video, obtained by 15past8 media group was published on Saturday by MailOnline. 
The unnamed leader in the highly graphic video said the civilians were being killed because they were “infidels” or non-believers. He also claimed that the killing was going on in Bama, Borno state.

 According to MailOnline,

The leader notes that the prophet Mohammed advised prisoners should be held, not killed, but says 'we felt this is not the right time for us to keep prisoners; that is why we will continue to see that the grounds are crimsoned with the flowing blood of prisoners.'  </blockquote>
 
 He also said that even though those killed may call themselves Muslims, the sect   considers them as “infidels.” because they had abandoned the Islamic doctrine  
 
The group also vowed that “from now on, killing, slaughtering, destruction and bombing’’ would   be its obligation anywhere it invades.

The release of this latest video comes just days after it was reported that the sect had attacked Gumsuri, a remote village in Borno state, slaughtering 32 people and kidnapping 185 women and children. 
 
The sect had also, in a video, released days before this one,   threatened to attack the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, for urging residents and vigilantes in Kano to arm and defend themselves against Boko Haram. 
 
Below is a transcript of Shekau’s words to Sanusi, as published by Punch:

Pirated copies of Obasanjo’s new book floods Lagos markets

The predictions of many that pirated copies of former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s controversial autobiography “My Watch” would soon flood the market, have come to pass. It is happening about a week after an FCT High Court ordered security agents to seize all copies of the book following the court cases it engendered.

The pirated books, according to <a href="http://www.punchng.com/news/pirated-copies-of-obasanjos-book-sell-for-n7000/">The Punch</a>, has filled the streets of Lagos, selling for as low as N7,000 against the original’s cost of N15,000. 
 
The original book has three volumes and comes in yellow and brown colour while the pirated one has two volumes and comes in white cover. The original book has reportedly become scarce after Justice Valentne Ashi’s seizure order. 
 
The newspaper quotes a seller of the pirated copies on Opebi Road, Lagos, as saying:

“My friend, you know this book is illegal now and we are even taking a huge risk selling it. The controversy in the pages of the book and the controversy that it has continued to generate in society have made it a bestseller. </blockquote>
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
“I usually sell it between N11,000 and N7,000 depending on the negotiating power of the customer.”</blockquote>
 
“My Watch”, centres on Obasanjo’s life as a soldier, as a democratic president and as an ex-president. It’s content, which took a hit at personalities like President Jonathan, former Vice President Abubarkar Atiku and several others, had generated legal issues before its launch when the Chairman, Organisation and Mobilisation Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in the South-West, Buruji Kashamu, approached the court to stop the book.  
 
Obasanjo however went ahead with the publication on December 9. Following the flouting of the order, the court ordered the security agents including the police and men of the DSS to confiscate all copies of the book.

TMZ Sports quotes a representative of the 72-year-old as saying that Ali was admitted to an undisclosed hospital early Saturday morning. 
 
According to the rep, it is a mild case of pneumonia and doctors expect him to make a full recovery. He said Ali is not expected to stay long in the hospital.

TMZ reports that the guy is confiding in friends that he is badly hurt by the break-up of the 12-year-old relationship. He has reportedly talked openly about suicide and have been isolatijg himself more, smoking weed, day and night.  
 
He has however vowed not to contact Nicki because she is now hooked with Meek Mill, whom he accuses of being responsible for the split after claiming he was cheating on her. 
 
But Nicki too is emotional about the break-up. Lyrics of some of her songs in her latest album give her away – songs like “Bed of Lies” and “All Things Go”.

Car snatcher promises to devote life to God if released

He is a suspected car snatcher currently in the net of the Enugu State Police Command. He has promised to devote the rest of his life to God and working in God’s vineyard, if released. Should the police release him? His name is Amucha Chike.

This is Chike's crime, according to Ebere Amaraizu, the Public Relations Officer of the Enugu State Police Command: On June 16, 2014, he stole a Toyota Camry car parked in front of a house in Independence Layout, Enugu. The owner of the car had left the key in the ignition after parking to open his gate before Chike rushed into it and drove off. And there was a lady inside the car! He reportedly told the woman to lie down or get shot! 
 
The Punch, quoting Amaraizu, reports that he later dropped the lady off and proceeded to Owerri, Imo State where he reportedly sold the car for N700,000. Now buoyant, Chike moved to Benin, Edo State to enjoy the money. He however did not know that operatives of the Anti Kidnap Unit of the Enugu State Police Command had been trailing him. He was eventually arrested in a restaurant in Benin on November 29. The stolen car was later recovered. 
 
Chike, 27, is currently helping the police in their investigations but now pleading for mercy, promising to attend a thanksgiving service in church and embrace God if released. 
 
The newspaper adds that Chike said he needs prayers and deliverance. 
 
The graduate of Agriculture Economics from Abia State University blames the devil for his foray into crime and vowed to pursue a decent employment with his degree.  
 
He also said:

A statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Idowu Adelusi, said that the distribution of the largesse, which included cash gifts, were under the Stomach Infrastructure programme. 
 
He said that while some of the residents besieged the governor’s office to get theirs, others had theirs delivered to them in their houses

According to the Comptroller of the NIS in the Jigawa state, Mr Isa Jere, this operation has led to the arrest and repatriation of 430 illegal immigrants in the state between January and November, this year.  
 
He added that 90 per cent of these illegal immigrants were from Niger Republic while others were from Cameroun, Chad and Mali. 
 
He also said that the command seized 20 voters’ cards from Nigerien immigrants, 11 out of which were permanent voters’ cards.   
 
Speaking on Saturday while parading eight illegal immigrants (seven from  Niger Republic and one from Mali), Jere said:

A similar scenario played out in Mafoluku, Oshodi, Lagos on December 11 and someone got stabbed in the head for it. 
 
A 48-year-old businessman, Kassim Raheem is currently facing a two count charge for breach of peace and assault after he stabbed a co-tenant who tried to outsmart him by dashing into the bathroom. 
 
Raheem claimed that the victim, Sunday Awulu, knew that it was his turn to use the bathroom but ignored the bucket of water he kept at the entrance. 
 
According to Vanguard, the prosecutor, Cpl. Kehinde Olatunde, told the Oshodi Magistrates’ Court that the accused stabbed the complainant on the head on December 11 at their residence.  
 
He said: “The accused claimed that he kept a bucket of water at the entrance of the bathroom before the complainant entered the place, and that when he complained, Awulu ignored him.”

That is a deduction from Timaya’s recent chat with <a href="http://www.punchng.com/entertainment/saturday-beats/marriage-not-on-my-mind-timaya/">The Punch</a> newspaper’s Saturday Beat. 
 
The artiste told the paper that even at 37, he is too young to get married. 
 
He was quoted as saying:

Fashola approves 15% December salary bonus for workers in Lagos

According to Aljazeera, officials from the country’s National Centre for HIV/AIDS, Dermatology and STD disclosed that 106 villagers, including elderly people and 19 children under the age of 15, had tested positive for HIV in Roka, tiny community of about 9,000 rural farmers. 
 
Dr Didier Fontenille, director of the Pasteur Institute in Cambodia, was quoted as saying that three tests on samples sent from Roka commune in Battambang province, tested positive on all occasions, adding that “around 90 people have tested positive” and tests on the rest will be concluded on Saturday. 
 
News of th infection’s spread has prompted local villagers to go for testing. 
 
Speculations of unreliable testing has however been raised as a likely reason for the high number. This was further accentuated by Cambodia’s Prime Minister, Hun Sen. 
 
In a speech on Thursday,

Dutch public health institute RIVM said in a statement on Friday that “The Nigerian patient who was admitted on December 6 has been cured of Ebola”.  
 
The soldier was flown to the Netherlands at the request of the W.H.O in a specially equipped aircraft and treated at the university hospital in central city Utrecht. 
 
Accordng to Dutch authorities, he was the first Ebola patient to be treated in the country and would reman at a military hospital until he was fit to return home. 
 
Ebola has killed more than 6,900 people worldwide with Liberia responsible for 3,290 of the deaths.

Sources close to the family disclosed that the father, Anthony had explained to the boy that there was not enough money to buy him and his three siblings cloths this Christmas but Ikechi would have none of that. 
 
He reportedly held his father, hostage for some minutes in their apartment at Arowojobe Street in Oshodi, Lagos, preventing him from going to work and insisting that he must get the money for the Christmas wears which he had planned to wear to a friend’s birthday party. 
 
DailyPost quotes Ikechi’s cousin, Ukachukwu, as saying:

Midnight fire consumes 7 out of family of 8

Seven out of a family of eight, were on Thursday midnight burnt beyond recognition in their house in Anyamkor area of Gboko East, Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State. The inferno killed the head of the family, his wife, two girls and three boys. The eldest son survived.

According to The Punch, the head of the family, popularly referred to as Mr Oye, had just returned from a crusade in Osun State a day before the tragedy. 
 
The newspaper quotes neighbours as saying that when the house was on fire around midnight, they believed the family members had gone to church, since there was no distress calls from the house. 
 
The report states further:

170 people die of stroke everyday in Nigeria - Expert

Stroke kills about 170 people every day in Nigeria. This was the assertion of a professor of stroke medicine at the King’s College, London, Anthony Rudd, who spoke in Abuja on Thursday.

He spoke at a lecture organised by the Stephen James’ Stroke Centre of Excellence in collaboration with the SURE-P project. 
 
According to him, 80 persons die per hour globally from stroke. 
 
His words:

“It will get worse if there is no coordinated approach to prevent it. Two-thirds of the Nigerian population is affected by stroke, making it one of the worse affected countries in the world.” </blockquote>

 “With the advantage of becoming an affluent country, Nigerians have the disadvantage of going down with hypertension which accounts for 83 per cent of all stroke cases in the country. People usually mistake stroke for heart attack but stroke which is a disturbance of blood supply to the brain is actually a brain attack and can happen to anyone”. </blockquote>

 He however noted that 80 per cent of stroke cases can be prevented by avoiding sedentary lifestyle, improving our diet, avoiding cigarette and alcohol and early diagnosis.</blockquote>

CBN begins issuance of new N100 note

A statement signed by Ibrahim Mu’azu, Head, Corporate Communications, on Friday in Abuja, revealed that all branches of the bank have been directed to start issuing the currency in their respective locations. 
 
According to the CBN, “The commemorative note will circulate alongside the existing N100 note. 
 
“The note, which is embedded with features to assist the visually impaired recognise genuine notes, also has other security features easily identifiable through look, feel and tilt of the currency note,” it said. 
 
The authentication features of the new note includes window micro-optics, showing the national flag and the numeral 100 which indicates the note’s denomination and the attainment of the centenary period. 
 
Users of the note can scan the QRC application, the bar code on the banknote, to read a brief history of Nigeria. 
 
The statement also reads:“The new design retains the portrait of Chief Obafemi Awolowo both in the ink, that is the inter-glow level, as a portrait and also in a paper as a shadow image. 
 
“In addition, there is a spark feature of a rolling manila bar, which was the instrument of transaction during the slave trade era. 
 
“At the back side of the currency is the introduced Quick Response Code, (QRC), a digital communication feature that highlighted and sourced all the information about the centenary". 
 
Recall that in 2010, a commemorative N50 polymer note was also issued to mark Nigeria’s 50th Independence Anniversary celebration.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, said that Onovo met his waterloo on December 16 at 8p.m., when the suspect and his gang members, confronted operatives of the Awkunanaw Police Division after they had snatched an ash-coloured Passat car around Mount Street, off Agbani Road.

Two armed robbers, Olowookere Segun and Morakinyo Sunday, have been sentenced to death for forcefully breaking into the house of a police officer, Balogun Tope in Osogbo, Osun State and carting away from some of his belongings, an offence committed four years ago.

<a href="http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/12/2-sentenced-death-stealing-fowls-osun-2/">Vanguard</a> reports that the convicts were charged with conspiracy, robbery and stealing contrary to Section 6(b) and 1(2)(a) of Robbery and Firearm (Special Provisions) Act, cap R 11 Laws of Federation of Nigeria 2004 and Section (390)(1) Criminal Code Law, Cap 34, Laws of Osun State, 2002. 
 
The prosecution, led by the State’s Solicitor-General, Mrs Abiola Adewemimo, told the court that on November 13, 2010, men armed with cutlasses and dane guns, were sighted around Balogun’s home. Two of them were arrested and others escaped. 
 
The convicts reportedly confessed that they stole the Balogun’s fowls, adding that they had been in his house before to steal. 
 
According to Adewemimo: “They also stated that they had earlier robbed Alhaja Umani Oyewo in her house and stole broilers, eggs and kegs of vegetable oil from the house.” 
 
In his judgement, Justice Jide Falola of the Osun State High Court sitting in Okuku convicted them on three counts: to death for conspiracy; life sentence for robbery, and three years imprisonment for stealing. 
 
He however recommended that considering the convict’s ages, the governor could decide to commute the death sentence to 10 years imprisonment.

Police, addressing reporters at the scene, said they also found the woman with serious injuries on Friday, adding that she was now receiving treatment in a hospital.  
 
A statement by the police said: “During an examination of the residence police located the bodies of the children, all aged between 18 months and 15 years” 
 
According to Australia’s Associated Press, another sibling, a 20-year-old man, arrived home to find his brothers and sisters dead inside the house, as well as his wounded mother. 
 
Detective Bruno Asnicar was quoted as saying:

 “She is a 38-year-old woman I believe and it’s very, very early days but she’s in a stable condition. </blockquote>

TMZ reports that a Los Angeles county judge signed their divorce documents to make the divorce official but HollywoodLife informs that the official divorce era would not begin until March 23, 2015, when it would be six months since Kris filed for divorce. 
 
According to TMZ’s report, the couple split up their various bank accounts and additional assets and agreed that there would not be spousal support. They would however share joint custody of their youngest child, 17-year-old Kylie Jenner and Kris will get their luxurious house in Calabasas. 
 
It was learnt that Kris cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for wanting out of the marriage. 
 
Kris had married Bruce in 1991 after splitting from her then husband, Robert Kardashian. She had four children with Robert (Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, and Robert) and two with Bruce (Kendall and Kylie Jenner).

1000 sets of identical twins cause confusion for INEC’s biometric system

Those affected, under the aegis of United twins and Multiple Births for Transforation in Nigeria have called on President Goodluck Jonathan to intervene in the matter. 
 
Speaking at a press conference in Abuja on Thursday, the group’s joint presidents, Akpos Mamuzee-Dixon and Andos Mamuzee-Dixon, both artistes, said that Akpos has gotten his own permanent voter’s card but Andos was not issued any because INEC’s biometric machine could not distinguish them. 
 
According to them, over 1000 sets of twins and products of other multiple births in the country were facing the same problem. 
 
Punch quotes Akpos as saying:

“When we got to the point of our registration in Wuse Zone 7, Akpos presented his Temporary Voter Card, and they found his name on the list and they gave him his PVC. But when it was my turn, they said they could not find my name on the list despite providing my temporary card. They asked to search for my name in other centres. We did but we could not find my name. </blockquote>
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
 “We were then asked to go to Karu. When we got to Karu a woman who was an INEC official told us that when they saw the pictures of the two of us and they decided to keep one of the cards on the assumption that it was the same person who was being fraudulent by registering twice.” </blockquote>
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
 “Is it now a crime to be twins? I have no apology for being a twin or being identical with my twin. President Goodluck Jonathan must intervene in this. The essence of biometric system is to distinguish persons. If INEC machine cannot distinguish us as different persons then, with due respect, INEC has failed.”</blockquote>
 
The twins threatened to sue INEC for not responding to their letter to the chairman, Prof. Atahiru Jega, dated Novemeber 25, written through the law firm of Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN).  
 
In the letter, the twins also demanded a compensation of N20million for the trauma; psychological depression and embarrassment caused them by the denial.

"At least 150 females, including pregnant women, were executed in Fallujah by a militant named Abu Anas Al-Libi after they refused to accept jihad marriage"

 A statement by Iraq’s Ministry of Human Rights said the women were allegedly executed in the province of Anbar in Iraq and buried in mass graves in Fallujah. 
 Just last month, the militant group shot dead about 50 men, women and children in a tribe cleansing. A report by the Times of India also has it that ISIS  recently published what appeared to be an "abhorrent" pamphlet providing its followers with guidelines on how to capture, keep and sexually abuse female slaves. 
 ISIS has killed thousands of people in Iraq and Syria since last July, and are in control of large swaths of the two countries.  
 
In their campaign of ethnic cleansing against non-Muslims and aims to establish an Islamic caliphate, they have executed people who refused to conform to their own brand of Sharia law.

Presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) General Mohammadu Buhari, has explained why he chose Prof. Yemi Osinbajo as his running mate for the 2015 elections.

At the presentation ceremony held at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, said that he the choice of Osinbajo was informed by his "unimpeachable integrity". 
 Buhari said:

 “The challenging process of rescuing our country and changing Nigeria for good has commenced. One of the first decisions that I have to make is the choice of the Vice-Presidential candidate and my running mate.</blockquote>

Boko Haram attacks motorists on Maidugiri road, kills 10, abducts mother, baby

 According to a Vanguard report, a driver who fled from the scene, Mallam Abor Modu said they were coming back from cross Kawa when the terrorists suddenly showed up in up to 10 vehicles and opened fire on motorists plying the Maiduguri- Baga road in the village. 
   
 He was quoted as saying:

“I had to stop with five of my passengers when I saw a Chadian resembling Boko Haram terrorist in a Hilux Vehicle mounted with Multi Purpose Machine gun opening fire sporadically on any vehicle he came across”.</blockquote>

Sleepy Hollow: A village battling strange illness causing them to sleep off

A village in northern Kazakhstan is known as Sleepy Hollow. It is not called “sleepy” exactly because of its low activity nature. There is a mysterious illness, a sleeping disorder that has plagued the village for four years now. Fourteen per cent of the 600 residents have been affected.

Residents have severally complained of fatigue, dizziness, inability to stand, memory loss and vivid hallucinations. 
 According to a MailOnline report, Igor Samusenko, a local resident whose son suffers from the condition, said:

“He runs around and then he gets inert, starts staggering.  </blockquote>

'When he turns his head his eyes stay fixed as what he was looking at. If you try to wake him it seems the wants to open his eyes but can't. </blockquote>

'Sleepy valley, sleepy hollow, that's what people call us.'</blockquote>
Doctors have attributed it to excessive fluid in the brain, and have ruled out viruses and bacterial infections like meningitis. 
 Scientists have also not found any chemicals in the soil or water that might be causing the sleeping sickness. 
 A local resident, Alsu Shjeladeva, was quoted as saying that some men from the area had gone down the shaft in a nearby abandoned uranium mine of the former Soviet-era and detected a sweet smell while down there.

 She told Russia Today: 'We are afraid of what lies in store. We're afraid that we may all fall asleep.'   
A number of theories continue to circulate as to the cause of the illness. While many believe the cause may be coming from the abandoned uranium mines, others claim toxic waste must have been buried in the area. 
 Doctors have however diagnosed the sufferers with encephalopathy, a disorder of the brain. Scans have shown that many of the sufferers have excessive accumulation of fluid in their brains - known as oedema.

The suspect, Abubakar Yusuf, alias Baba Sani, was arrested alongside six others - Junaid Khadi, Saleh Ibrahim, alias Liman Ibrahim, Abdullahi Saleh, a.k.a Babadale, Nurudeen Ibrahim, Mubarak Adamu, a.k.a. Molo and Mustapha Maidugu, a.k.a Musty Small. According to DSS spokeswoman, Marilyn Ogar, the suspects colluded with Australian, Stephen Davis to trick the government. While parading the suspects in Abuja on Tuesday, she said Davis and several other local and international group had made merchandise of the insurgency by fabricating stories to stir discontent among Nigerians in the face of the ongoing war against terror. Recall that Davis had accused Sheriff and ex-army chief, Lt.-Gen. Azuibike Ihejirika of being sponsors of Boko Haram. She said:

“We will not rest on our oars until our country is rid of all unwholesome activities” “Davis premised his findings on discussion with several field commanders of the sect who allegedly expressed willingness of the sect to negotiate with the Federal Government if Davis would spearhead the dialogue. “Based on the allegation, this service initiated an in-depth investigation into the matter. “Consequently, seven associates of Davis were arrested and it has been established that they were part of a well orchestrated plan to spread falsehood, undermine and discredit efforts of government to end terrorism,” </blockquote>
Reports have it that all the suspects, except one, admitted that they met with Davis at a five star hotel in Abuja, to arrange for the negotiation with the federal government.

His nomination comes on deadline day for submission of running mates to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). 
 Osinbajo is a professor of law, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and Senior Partner in the Law firm of SimmonsCooper Partners. He was the head of department of Public Law at the University of Lagos (1997-1999). 
 He studied at the University of Lagos and the London School of Economics and Political Science where he obtained his LLB and LLM degrees respectively. Osinbajo is the resident minister at the Olive Tree 
Redeemed Church and a close aide to the Church’s General 
Overseer, Enoch Adeboye.

The photos were released by the terror group's spokesman, Mohammad Khurasani, who in an email Wednesday morning, tried to justify the attack by claiming that the Pakistani army has already killed innocent children and families. 
 The photographs, published by MailOnline, shows six heavily armed men posing in front of a white Islamic banner shortly before the attack.
