2015: Patience Jonathan says Nyeson Wike is next Rivers governor

First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan has referred to former Minister of State for Education, Nyeson Wike as the next governor of Rivers State.

Addressing Okirika Council of Chiefs at the burial ceremony of Senator Tari Sekibo in Okrika on Saturday, the first Lady expressed confidence that Wike of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will win the 2015 governorship election in the state.

Her words:

 “Before you today is the next governor of Rivers State. He is the former Minister of State for Education, Barrister Nyesom Wike. 

“The PDP is the best party and the most popular party in the country. The PDP is the leading party that will win Rivers State.”

Dame Jonathan reiterated her resolve to support those who are after the state’s development and not those who try to kill other groups through draconian policies.
