Imagine the scenario where tenants in a house queue up in front of the bathroom, waiting to take turns to take their baths in the morning.  Fights erupt when someone stays too long in the bathroom or tries to outsmart others by jumping queue.

A similar scenario played out in Mafoluku, Oshodi, Lagos on December 11 and someone got stabbed in the head for it.

A 48-year-old businessman, Kassim Raheem is currently facing a two count charge for breach of peace and assault after he stabbed a co-tenant who tried to outsmart him by dashing into the bathroom.

Raheem claimed that the victim, Sunday Awulu, knew that it was his turn to use the bathroom but ignored the bucket of water he kept at the entrance.

According to Vanguard, the prosecutor, Cpl. Kehinde Olatunde, told the Oshodi Magistrates’ Court that the accused stabbed the complainant on the head on December 11 at their residence.

He said: “The accused claimed that he kept a bucket of water at the entrance of the bathroom before the complainant entered the place, and that when he complained, Awulu ignored him.”
