Vance Mitchell of the Pasadena Police said: "She was tumbling pretty fast in there. One person walked by and said they saw something flopping around in there. They thought it was just a dress or something because it was moving pretty fast".
It is still unclear how the girl ended up in the washer and nothing have been said about where the parents were at the time of the incident which occurred around 6:15pm.
A woman had reportedly tried to use that same machine moments earlier but was told by a manager that it was not working properly. She then got a refund and moved to another machine.
