Man sells wife to ritualists

A man has been paraded for selling his wife for N800, 000 to ritualists. The culprit, Maimako Shephang was paraded by the Plateau State Police command at Kwalla in Quanpan Local Government Council of the state.

He allegedly lured his wife, Agnes, into the bush and sold her to two masked ritualists.

While briefing journalists in his office in Jos on Wednesday, the state Police Commissioner, Mr Nasiru Oki, said the two masked men asked Agnes whether she was a spinster or not.  She then told them that the man who handed her over to them was her husband.

The men reportedly released her to run away since the spiritual sacrifice required a virgin woman.
