Why Mesut Ozil was sacked by girlfriend, Mandy Capristo

Ever thought why these Arsenal players aren’t scoring as they should? Guess they’ve been scoring elsewhere…Lol. Mesut Ozil has become the second Arsenal player to have a scandal rock his love life. 

Earlier in the year, it was Oliver Giroud who was accused of extra-marital affair. He later pleaded for forgiveness, tweeting:I apologise to my wife, family and friends and my manager, team-mates and Arsenal fans.

“I now have to fight for my family and for my club and obtain their forgiveness. Nothing else matters at the moment.”

Now, Mesut Ozil, 26, is nursing his torn knee-ligament injury as well as the crash of his relationship with German pop star girlfriend, Mandy Capristo.

Capristo, 24, who had moved with Ozil to London, last year when he signed for Arsenal in a club record £42.5million deal, has now deleted all photographs of him from her Facebook and Instagram accounts. And she is not talking about him.

The development is not unrelated to a recent allegation made by former Bayern Munich defender, Christian Lell, that Ozil had been cheating on Capristo. Lell’s pain, according an interview he granted German Bild Newspaper, is that Ozil cheated with Melanie Rickinger.

Who is Rickinger? She is a German model and make-up artist. She "is" Lell’s girlfriend and Ozil's former girlfriend. The current scandal is based on the fact that she and Ozil had not ended their relationship despite being involved with other people.

Lell, 30, has also split with Rickinger. Lell said that his break-up with Rickinger was partly due to what Ozil had been doing.

In the interview with Bild, Lell described 24-year-old Rickinger as a “snake”, claiming that she had been exchanging evocative conversations with Ozil on WhatsApp.

Of Ozil, Lell, who now plays for Spanish side, Levante, said: “Mesut exploited his fame, and muscled in on our relationship. That isn’t okay.”

Ozil has however refused comment on the allegations. His agent, Roland Eitel, said: “We will keep an eye on the situation, and take legal action if necessary.”

But if Ozil would not speak, Rickinger would. She has described Lell, as “completely crazy” and claimed that he accessed private messages without her permission.

She said: “I deleted everything on my phone. He must have gone himself and backed everything up.”

Capristo, after the split with Ozil, has not made a public comment but was previously quoted as saying that she did not only want to be known as dating a footballer.

Her rise to fame began wen at the age of 11, she won a talent show and rocked Germany with her girl group, Monrose, when they competed in the German version of TV talent show Popstars.
