Reports say the bomb went off around 10am, this morning, Friday. Many people are feared dead with reports saying that a number of people are being evacuated to the Gombe General Hospital.
Casualty figured are not yet ascertained but security officials have cordoned off the area.
A resident said a military patrol team had just left the area before the blast occurred.
Police has also reportedly arrested three persons in connection with the blast
