The blast that rocked a bus station in Gombe early Friday morning was believed to have gone off from three bombs concealed in bags. Boko Haram is believed to be behind the attack which is believed to have killed up to 34 people with many other injured. 

According to some witnesses, three men entered the park at Gombe Line Transport Services early in the morning and dropped the bags among the buses.

Police say the explosion occurred at about 9am and that three people have been arrested. He however did not give details about the death toll, saying it was still being worked at.

Boko Haram has not claimed responsibility but police believe that the suspects had come from Yobe where Boko Haram holds sway.

Gombe is bothered by Adamawa, Borno and Yobe, three states where the terrorists rule.
