LAX Police Department said in a statement that the incident was reported at Terminal 4 around 9:30 p.m on Sunday.

Reports said the Flight 136 was delayed for three hours during an investigation after the passenger reported the discovery.

The flight was cleared to fly by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials but the flight crew refused to fly and the flight was rescheduled for Monday afternoon.

Police found no evidence that the Wi-Fi network came from anyone on the plane. It was thought to have been a mobile hot spot that was active in the terminal.

A similar event occurred on September 11 anniversary. NBC News reported that a Southwest Airlines flight headed for Denver was diverted to Seattle after passengers noticed Wi-Fi hot spot names that included "Southwest Bomb on Board" and, a short time later, "Bomb Location Seat 19E".
