Senator Muhammed Jibrillah Bindow has won the APC primary for the October 11 Adamawa governorship by-election after polling 2,718 votes.
Chairman of the electoral committee of the APC primary, Dr. Garba Abari, who announced the results Sunday night, said that 6,232 voters were accredited while there were 42 void votes.
Acting Governor of the state, Alhaji Umaru Fintiri, had on Sunday morning, emerged the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
All now seem set for the October 11 governorship election in the state with the APC ready to square up against the PDP following the impeachment of Murtala Nyako, who had earlier in the year dumped PDP for APC.
Details later…
