Kanye West and French Montana are planning to release a new song but a young rising rapper based in Atlanta, has vowed to stop the release claiming that it was similar to one of his own tracks.
According to the rapper, 9gotti French Montana's track titled Gucci Mane, which was produced by West, was adapted from one of his tunes.
Representatives of 9gotti’s record label, Chinga Chang Records, have sent a “cease and desist” letter to West and Montana, accusing them of plagiarism and asking them to halt the release of the song or face legal battle.
TMZ reports that the letter also named Sean 'Diddy' Combs and Rick Ross, calling Diddy a music thief and saying “Rick Ross should know better because he's an ex-correctional officer”.
But it remains unclear how they were actually involved in the track.
