Manchester United’s new defender, Marcos Rojo, can now play for his new club after the Home Office granted him his work permit today.
He is now set to grab a place in the team to make his debut against Queens Park Rangers at Old Trafford on September 14, having already missed three games.
Sportsmail had on August 30, revealed that the delay in granting the Argentina international work permit bordered on investigations into an altercation he allegedly had with a neighbour in Argentina in 2010.
Rojo was never prosecuted over the incident but was still theoretically being investigated after the case was reopened in May this year.
The left back moved to Old Trafford from Sporting Lisbon in a £16million deal last month, but was ineligible to play.
Rojo will now make his debut for the Red Devils on September 14, against Queens Park Rangers at Old Trafford. He has missed three games since he signed his United deal.
