Senator Alhasan won the APC primary election in Taraba state, beating her male contenders - Dr. Muhammed Julde, M. T. Tumba and Yusufu Akirikwen who all boycotted the exercise shortly before it began at the Jolly Nyame Stadium, Jalingo, the state capital.
Alhasan, who currently represents Taraba North at the National Assembly, scored a total of 2,425 out of the total 2,471 votes cast by delegates.
Announcing the result, the Chairman of APC primary election committee in the state, Kola Shittu, said Julde amd Akirikwen scored 14 votes each while Tumba scored 18 votes.
