UPDATE on Maiduguri Monday market twin blast: 10 people killed

Two female suicide bombers blew themselves up at a crowded Monday market in Maiduguri just about the same time, Boko Haram and the military engaged themselves in a fierce gun battle. Police say about 10 people have been confirmed dead

The market was the same location where more than 45 people were killed last week after two female suicide bombers detonated explosive devices.

Borno state police spokesman, Gideon Jibrin said in a text message to AFP.

“Two female suicide bombers detonated an explosive in Monday market in two different locations killing more than 10, and injured many,”
