Arsenal target, Khedira diagnosed with concussion

Real Madrid midfielder, Sami Khedira has been diagnosed with a concussion, his club said on Wednesday.

The club’s statement reads: 

“Following the medical tests carried out on Sami Khedira by the Real Madrid doctors in the Sanitas La Moraleja hospital, the player has been diagnosed with a concussion.

“He will remain under observation over night. Pending a medical evaluation.

The 27-year-old German suffered the injury during Real’s 5-0 Copa del Rey win over Cornella on Tuesday. He collided with Cornella midfielder David Garcia shortly after halftime and was replaced by Jese.

Khedira has been on Arsenal’s radar since last summer with the north London club looking to beat Chelsea to his sitgnature in the January transfer window.
