Mr Bala James Ngilari, former deputy governor to impeached Murtala Nyako, has been sworn in as Governor of Adamawa State.

His swearing in followed the judgement of a high court sitting in Abuja this morning that he be sworn in, as his initial resignation during Nyako’s impeachment was illegal, null and void.

Ngilari was sworn in this afternoon by the Acting Chief Judge of Adamawa State, Justice Ambrose Mammadi.

Alhaji Umaru Finiri was sacked this morning by the judgement.
