Christ Embassy UK: Chris Oyakhilome sacked from Board of Trustees

The rift between the founder of Believers LoveWorld (aka Christ Embassy), Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and his wife, Anita, has gone deeper as Anita has removed her husband from the Board of Trustees the church’s branch in the United Kingdom. 

A report by Premium Times after reviewing documents obtained by it, shows that Anita now presides over a seven-man Board of Trustees of the N8.2 billion rich branch. The six other members of the board are believed to the pastors loyal to Anita and they include: Obi Chiemeka, Ifeoma Onubogu, Nkem Odiakah, Raymond Okocha, Tony Obi and Uche Onubogu. Anita had been heading the church in UK before the face-off began.

Pastor Chris and Anita have been locked in a divorce battle. Anita has filed an action at a London court to end their 20-year-old marriage after accusing her husband of “unreasonable behaviour”, a charge he has repeatedly denied.

Pastor Chris’ removal may not come as a surprise as he has already hinted about Anita’s ploy to overthrow the authorities of the church even when she was simply supposed to be overseeing the branch.

Anita’s name, pictures and profile have also been removed from the church’s website as well as from the church’s monthly devotional publication, “Rhapsody of Realities”.
