Police Corporal stabbed to death in Benue, dumped in a well

The lifeless body of a policeman was on Sunday, found inside a well in Gboko, Benue State.

The policeman, identified as Onu Adeyi, was said to be a corporal attached to the Gboko (B) Division.

According to a Punch report, Adeyi was allegedly said to have been stabbed severally in the chest before he was thrown inside a well in his compound.

Confirming the incident, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Hyacinth Dagala, said his command has launched an investigation into the cop’s assassination. He said no arrest has been made yet.
