Chelsea’s second choice goalkeeper, Petr Cech, is surely tired of sitting on the bench. He has shown the desire to leave the club.
While on international duty (Euro 2016 qualifiers), he told Czech radio: “I have not spoken to anyone, but I think they know me well enough at the club to know that the situation is definitely not the way I would imagine.
“With the Euros and the national team in mind, there is no time for me to sit on the bench and not to play. If the situation will not start to improve for me, then I will want to solve it.”
The 32-year-old, who has been in Chelsea since 2004, was relegated to number 2 following the return of Thibaut Courtois to the club after a three-year loan spell at La Liga’s Atletico Madrid. Cech has not started a single league match for the Stamford Bridge side this season.
Cech only had a taste of a league match this season on Saturday against
Arsenal, when he replaced Courtois who sustained an injury to the head
in the 23rd minute of the match.
